This last weekend Heavenly Hill Gallery opened its innovative Sunday tradition of exceptional art, spectacular view and sunset, live pan with the Superstars and a brilliant collection of South African wines.
The host and owner of Heavenly Hill, Terrence Sprague, displayed his and other local artists in the magnificent old Stone estate house perched above Johnson point. As the music played softly in the background guests enjoyed the art and mingled with artists and friends.
Michele Henry from the Museum of Antigua commented how wonderful it is to see local artists displayed at a premier gallery and the Sunday event almost brought tears to her eyes. Ms. Mercer from the Ministry of tourism smiled as she commented that Heavenly Gallery is the quality of event, mixture of art and relaxing setting that Antigua's been waiting for.
The sunset was sincerely heavenly and the guests paused as the colors brilliantly glowed over Redonda. This sunset from Heavenly will truly become a favorite of locals and visitors from a far.
The tradition continues this Sunday with more art and music at Heavenly Hill Gallery from 1:00 till 7:00 pm. Local Artists and Terrence Sprague will be displaying new works of art every Sunday. Judging from the opening day, Sundays at Heavenly Hill Gallery will become a sure bet for a relaxing day in the country for friends and family.
Thanks to Terrence for this trip report ...
