Capital: Kralendijk
Climate: Bonaire has an average year round air temperature is 81.5° Fahrenheit, with a +/- 2.5° seasonal variation, and an average daily variation of 10°. Bonaire's average rainfall is 20.5 inches, with 65% occurring October through January. Constant trade winds generally make evenings cool and comfortable.

Electricity: 127 volts/50 AC. 220 volt is also available at some resorts. Most North American appliances will work.
Internet Access: Internet access is available through local providers. There is also a public e-mail terminal at the Harbourside Mall and a cyber café, de Tuin, in the center of Kralendijk.
Official Language: Dutch. The Papiamento dialect is widely spoken, as are English and Spanish.
Political Status: Member of the Netherlands Antilles.
Population: Approximately 15,000.
Time: Atlantic Standard Time. Same time as the United States East Coast during Daylight Savings Time (mid-Spring to mid-Fall). Bonaire does not change time for Daylight Savings.
