Arrived at this supposed 5 star resort at 6:30 pm local time after a
15 hour journey from Canada to be told by the Hotel staff they did
not have a room available for my wife and I but out of the good
graces in their heart they will put us up in another hotel that had
no AC and the rooms were open to be cooled by breezes from
the ocean (With accompanying sand and dust).
At best it would be 1 star accomodation we were offered for what
turned out to be 3 days before a room became available in the
5 star facility.
We had a confirmation number from the Signature travel group,
but the hotel insisted they knew nothing of us and 24 other couples
coming that day although our transport from San Jose airport was
arranged and they had hotel braclets made out for us with our
correct departure times marked.
This poor start to a vacationed tainted the celebration of our 35th
wedding anniversary and would not recommend any go to this resort
unless they are prepared to spend the first few days in a sub-standard
facility.
