Absolutely terrific! trip was from April 21-28, 2002.
weather was great, people (vacationers and staff) were so friendly. food was very good. grounds were very clean and well manicured. the rooms have thatched roofs, and every once in awhile we had a visitor..a little gecko just checkin us out. the iguanans were of all sizes..friendly, but they stay their distance from you. the steak house was VERY good. snorkeling was very nice if you took the glass bottom boat tour to the columbia reef and palancar reef..they were beautiful and our guide pointed out all the "big" stuff to us. we rented a volkswagon and visited "coconuts rest & bar" on the east side of the island..it is an awesome place. it sits on a cliff overlooking the ocean and we had their grilled conch...yummmm!!!!! CHEN RIO was another fun place to snorkel and the bob marley bar was fun.
Overall, we loved the iberostar/cozumel....last year we stayed at the iberostar/riveria maya and it was bigger and we liked the monkeys in the trees there, but on a smaller scale, the cozumel iberostar was quieter, and we got to know more of the guests on a smaller resort. if you get the chance, go IBEROSTAR...we love them!!!!!
