My husband and I and our 3 daughters ages, 9, 4 & 2 just returned from
Beaches Turks at beginning of May. In one word--WOW!!! The flight from
Kennedy Apt.(New York) was great. The resort is only 10 minutes from the
airport. Check in was easy and our room was spacious, clean and quite
pretty. The beach and water are gorgeous. We had no trouble securing beach
chairs or cabanas. Snorkeling was beautiful.
We found the staff to be courteous and kind and great with the children.
The children's activities were excellent except for the 2 year old group
(0-2 yrs) they don't do much and don't take them outside, which I didn't
like, so we kept our daughter with us most of the time. We hadn't planned on
leaving our kids in the kid's club the whole time anyway. The pools (all 5)
are beautiful and exceptionally clean. Most have caves and waterfalls and
swim up bars so kids can get a soda and mom and dad can get a drink if
desired. There is a pool for the kids that has water slides and a giant
pirate ship. There are free Sega games and soft serve ice cream for them
anytime. The 9 restaurants are all good with 2 adult only ones, and 1 (Bobby
D's) especially suited for kids with pizza and burgers. There is music and
games everynight at the outdoor theater. There are plenty of activities for
everyone to join in if desired. I must also compliment the private
babysitters from the kids club. They will take your kids anywhere you want
while you have dinner or snorkel or whatever. They are sweet and kind and
the kids love them. They bring them to the beach or Sega center or they will
stay in the room if you want. They were the best!
The only thing I will caution people is to bring your necessities with
you, i.e.. diapers, sunscreen, while these items are available in the
giftshop, they are outrageously expensive( $29.00 for a small package of
diapers that should cost under $10.00)
Thanks to Denise for this trip report ...
