There is an abundance of travel guides, varying immensely in quality, that focus on the Caribbean and Central America.

If you are looking for an all-embracing guide to the Caribbean, then we suggest the Footprint Caribbean Islands Handbook 2003 by Sarah Cameron (see right).

No other guide book is as detailed or savvy as this one. Also great if you're traveling on a budget. Highly recommended.

Although the most current version was published in 2003 this book still provides the best round-up of all the islands. You may not get a new version of the book but used books are available. Order it, it's worth it.

Here are our other book recommendations:

Caribbean books
Bermuda, Bahamas and Turks & Caicos Islands books
Central America and Mexico books
Indian Ocean books
South America books
Cruise Books
Diving Books

For additional book selections for the Caribbean, Central and South America and Beyond go to Amazon.com and Hunter Publishing.
