The Caribbean is famous for its many spectacular and often unspoiled dive sites.

By day incredibly colourful reefs abound including beautiful sponges, regal sea feathers alongside a wide array of corals. Swim around and see crustaceans and tropical fish.

At night, the seascape is completely different with night corals opening up. Starfish, lobsters and sea urchins scour the seabed for food.

Today, almost every destination can offer full-service dive operations. Most shops are PADI affiliated; you will be expected to show a certificate of competence if you want to dive immediately.

Many operators can provide lessons for novices.
