The best time to visit Mexico is mid-September-mid May, though some parts still have a fair amount of rain in October and November. It rains most during the summer, but usually not often enough to spoil a vacation.

Economy: Mexico has a free market economy with a mixture of modern and outmoded industry and agriculture, increasingly dominated by the private sector. There has been recent expanded competition in seaports, railroads, telecommunications, electricity, natural gas distribution, and airports. Income distribution remains highly unequal. Trade with the US and Canada has tripled since the implementation of NAFTA in 1994.

Official Language: Spanish is the official language. Various Mayan, Nahuatl, and other regional indigenous languages will be heard.
Political Status: Federal Republic.

Baja California: GMT-8
Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Nayarit & Sinaloa: GMT-7
Sonora: GMT-7
Following legal disputes Mexico will adopt Daylight-saving Time in line with the USA. From the first Sunday in April at 02:00 to the last Sunday in October at 02:00, Daylight-Saving Time is in effect the times in Time Zones 1,2 & 3. Time Zone 4 will not adopt Daylight-saving Time.
