Antigua and Barbuda - Trip Reports

Galley Bay

Just returned on 27th Nov from 2 weeks at Galley Bay.

Three couples stayed at GB whilst 5 solos stayed at Royal Antiguan.

Our daughter was married at the Galley Bay on the 19th and I must point out that the staff, the location and the service itself was absolutely magnificent.

The staff bent over backwards to ensure that our day was perfect. I have to stay that the wedding coordinator made a mistake and doubled booked another wedding on the same day (policy is normally only 1/day)but managed to organize both with no cross-over and everything turned out fine.

Mr.Forman the GM was an absolute gentleman and went out of his way to ensure that our daughter had the day of her life. It was much appreciated.

My wife and myself stayed in one of the premium beach front suites. Our twodaughters/partners stayed in de-luxe beachfront apartments. All were totally satisfied.

I must be honest and report that overall we had a lovely holiday and would not complain about anything at all at GB. The food, drink, staff, service, infrastructure etc were all above expectation.

Weather could have been better and the sea was rough at times sufficient enough to keep one out. All my party are united in that we all would go back again.

Excursions - we charted the helicopter over to Monserrat to view the volcano and its aftermath - wow! Swam with the dolphins and stingrays, went deep sea fishing (Obsession out of Falmouth, had a scuba lesson, played golf twice at Cedar Valley, snorkelled over the reef and did an island tour by taxi - wow I,m shattered and need a holiday to recover!

Thank you Galley Bay, see you next time.

Thanks to John for this trip report ...
