Just got home yesterday and had a great time. We stayed at the Royal Oasis Crowne Plaza and it was very, very nice. The beach pool was our main hangout - very relaxing. The hotel staff was very friendly and the restaurants ( I ate in all but one of them - didn't try the Italian place) were reasonably priced and the food was good.
All the rooms have refridgerators so we bought some groceries at the drug store in the International Bizarre and they were a bit high - $4.00 for 1/2 gallon of milk and $3.00 for loaf of bread.
We enjoyed being able to walk over to the Casino (we even won! - Play the "Slotto" slots - they were paying off like crazy every night!) and the International Bizarre. We also went over to Lucaya, which was beautiful - the nicest beach I saw on the Island.
The Dolphin Experience is not to be missed. It's fun and educational - my 12 year old daughter enjoyed it almost as much as I did!!!
I would certainly stay here again!
Note: I also went to visit the Sunspree resort just across the street and found lots of younger kids and families - it was much, much noisier than the Crowne Plaza.
Thanks to Cathy for this trip report ...
