Joanna and I just returned from a great week vacation at Coral Beach! We were able to meet some very nice people too: Dianne, Mugsy & crew, Deborah, Kathleen and Allan. Weather was fine except for a day of rain and I now have a new nickname: crash! Yes, my rental car was rear-ended in the rain but nobody was hurt and the rental firm was the best –gave me a new car immediately…Thanks to the crew @ Brad’s!!
Went to Paradise Cove and had a great time..rent a car (Brad’s!!) and go on your own..then you can stay all day! First trip to the Wednesday night fish fry and it was amazing! Great food, people, dancing and I got to see Deborah again. And this time her car wasn’t stuck in the sand at Club Caribe.
Visited Banana Bay a few times-as usual-and my screen saver is now the beautiful beach there. Also went to the National Park and Gold Rock Beach-absolutely beautiful. This is a must but go at low tide…once again-rental car! Take a few crackers for the 10-minute walk to the beach so you can feed the fish in the water along the way.
Highly recommend the Reef Fishing with Janice and Les (Lil B Fishing). We went with Les on the night trip from 5-9pm and caught lots of fish. The squirrelfish were beautiful! Les is a great person with some wonderful stories. I highly recommend this excursion-and it’s not expensive! We also went horseback riding with Henry (no worries Mon) Higgs from Pine Tree stables. This also was a great excursion and I highly recommend it. The guides give details of the flora, fauna, island history, and the beach ride (you get wet!!) is unbelievable! See you soon Henry!
RECAP: the week was great! Charmaine & Lydia were the best! We met many new friends for life, had great excursions and I can’t wait to return...Oct 3-7. Now if this hurricane Isabel will just leave Grand Bahama alone I can sleep at night
Thanks to Brian for this trip report ...
