We've made many trips to Caribbean islands but have never
been inclined to write about them on the web. Just returned
from Grand Cayman having spent several days at the Turtle
Nest Inn & we feel this new, charming & intimate hotel
deserves talking about - although finding space there may
be more difficult next time round. We had a really nice 1
bdrm condo right on the beach & pool, enjoyed terrific
snorkeling & the company of a number of other guests & paid
$150 a night. This was a different experience for us than
other vacations spent in large hotels, with such friendly &
helpful managers who made us feel right at home. The inn is
in a small native village where we spoke to many locals &
didn't see many tourists. This was really the Cayman
islands! All the guests there raved about the inn as well &
we can't wait to return. But if you're after lots of
people on the beach &lots of action, stick to resorts on 7
mile beach. We just loved the quiet scene & unique
atmoshere. This place is going to be full fast.
Thanks to Nick for this trip report ...
