Just got back from my first trip to Grand Cayman and had a wonderful time. Stayed at a lovely
little inn in Bodden Town (Turtle Nest Inn) with my wife.
Kind of a second honeymoon sort of thing. The inn is new and only has 9 units, all of which have
a full kitchen. This allows considerable savings as you don't have to eat out all the time. It is
located right on the beach with excellent snorkeling available right there. The inn is fantastic and the
owners, Alain and Marleine, are friendly and personable. Marleine offers dinner at the inn on
Tuesday and Friday evenings. Tuesday is seafood and Friday is Indian cuisine. These dinners are not
to be missed. It likely will be the best meal you have while your'e there. My wife and I had dinner and
a bottle of champaigne for $73.00 US. For Grand Cayman, this price for this meal is a steal.Check out
their website at www.turtlenestinn.com.
Dove with Ocean Frontiers on the East End. I thought they did an excellent job. The coral reef appeared
to be pristine on the East End. I
have never dove the west wall so I can't speak about that but the other divers on the boat with Ocean
Frontiers had, and they were impressed by how much better the East End diving was.
Thanks to DogDoc for this trip report ...
