Cuba - Trip Reports

Melia Cayo Coco

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The doctor on site is qualified. My wife had a problem with her eye and the doctor fixed her up just fine. There was a charge of $25.00 USD for the visit and $5.30 for the antibiotic drops. Both were covered by the insurance we took before leaving for Cuba. The site is for adults only and is extremely well kept.

The food like all the other resorts I have been to in Cuba is OK, but don't expect too much in the way of fresh fruits. There are a lot of activities at poolside and volleyball on the beach. The weather was great all week 2004/04/03 to 2004/04/10. Bring a coffee thermos with you to fill with beer. The beer will be kept cooler and you won't have to run back to the bar as often it's also better for the environment.

Thanks to John for this trip report ...
