I just came back from this resort.
It was my first trip to Cuba so I don't have any other resorts to compare it to.
I have to say the weather was absolutely beautiful, the sun was very hot. No cloudy days!
The staff was absolutely amazing. If you speak a little Spanish it does help. The bartenders are little slow but you're on vacation.
The rooms below average and not soundproof but that didn't bother us. We travelled with our four year old daughter and the cubans love children. Very friendly, it felt like home to us.
If you want to do something a little different take a horse and carriage to Coco Beach and see the sunset. You can probably hook up with someone there that will offer you a dinner in their "casa". We did it and it was the best meal we had all week and the hospitality was great. If you can bring along some clothes for kids and families it's very much appreciated. We made some great friends and will certainly go back.
