My wife and another couple visited Iberostar Daiquiri April 4 to 18.
The tour operator, CAA / Conquest, provided very good service, in that their rep. was at all the appointed places at the proper time and made sure every thing when smoothly.
The resort was better than we had expected. the rooms very well appointed, well maintaned. clean and fully equiped, (second floor room 2261 ) We had one maintance call which was handle very quickly. No insects to speak of anywhere.
Meals excelent, buffet style, pastas, beef, pork, chicken and fish, wonderfull deserts, pasteries and red or white wine served at your table, noon and evening sittings, 2 specialty restraunts, 5 bars (take an insulated cup of your own as they will stay cooler longer while you sleep in the sun), pool in 3 sections toddler, kids / adult for games and quiet adult with swim up bar.
Beach was excellent cleaned daily, water clear and warm. The visitors ages range from babe in arms to grand parents, Canadians, British, German and Italian.
There was security but very low key, traveling we felt safe any place we went (day trip to Trinidad on the main island) no hassle from locals, staff was hard working friendly, and ready to help when needed, tips not requested, but appreciated. (take 1 dollar US currency)
Evening entertainment, in the 2 week stay was not repeated once, all new shows each nite, danceing, performers are world class, and double as day time games entertainment organizers. The Cuban people are friendly, well educated, most spoke two or three languages and although their income is low are happy and outgoing.
HIGHLY recommend this resort, and our thanks to Cuba and it's people for their hospitality.
Thanks to Dave (Charlottetown, PEI, Canada) for this trip report ...
