We have just reurned from this resort and had a great time.
We chose this resort as we were bringing along our 9 year old. We usualy stay at the Breezes Varadero Superclubs and there is no comparison!!
Stay in the New section with a pool view...worth the shrt walk!!! The only major downfalls we faced were the food and the employees.
The food is certainly edible and enjoyable. However the choice is minimal. Cabbage: white, red, purple both cooked or raw. Most things are grilled. Beef beef beef!!!The second was the people. Don't get me wrong, they are super nice and eager to please...but we could not shake the feeling of needing to tip all the time! I am no rookie to Cuba, but this is the first time it was right in front of you. Also, almost EVERY waiter, bartender and cleaner offered me cigars or rum at obvious stolen or counterfeit prices.
I know Superclubs is not a familly resort, but the food is much better there and ot once in the 5 times I have stayed there, have I ever been approched about that stuff.
Breesas Del Caribe is a nice place for the price and for 1 week. I would hazard a guesse that for the extra $$$, the Paradisso sounds worth it!
