Aruba - Trip Reports

The Radisson

I went to Aruba on June 23 to June 30 and I stayed at the Radisson. I reserve a car before I lest, which was very helpful. I picked the car at the airport and drove to the Radisson. The Hotel is beautiful, very lush and tropical with a lot of bird and water falls. Check in was very fast and staff was very friendly. The Aruba is the best out of the three building. When requesting a room make sure you get a room with a even number. The higther the number the better the view. Those room are located on the back of the hotel facing the ocean. Room 1618, 1616, 1716, 1718, 1816, 1818. When coming to Aruba no need to reserve anything in advance except a car. At the radisson they have a concierge desk with six people waiting all day to assist with any reservation you need. Everyday they make my dinner reservation and book my tour.

I book a tour in advance with ABC Tour because people said it was the best , not true. I called them when I got there and confirm. After walking early up two day in row never pick me up. the second pick me up in with a truck and told me this is an extreem safari. The tour that I book they no longer offer it and they send me an e-mail at home. I knew then they were laying. I came back and check my email, they said the tour that I requested is sold out for that week. The hotel had to book me with the palm tour the second and I had a great time.

Dining in Aruba

Aqua Grill- Best seafood I had very tasty.
Chez Malthide -outstanding and sofisticated great reataurant for any special occassion. The food was amazing.
Flying Fish Bone- good food very romantic to eat on water.
Waterfront carb House- for lobster and crab lovers, the food was so good I ate there twice.
SoleMare and Bella Luna- Two great Italian restaurant for pasta.
I had breakfast at the hotel everyday or sometime lunch if I spend the day on the beach. When I'm in town I had lunch Iguana Joe and Le petit Cafe and Carlos and Charlie great caribbean grill.

I travel the caribbean every year and this was my first time in Aruba. Aruba became my favorite island and I will return very soon. This is truly one happy island.

Thanks to Josi for this trip report ...
